The results are in: 2016 was a banner year for Rise Against Hunger as we served 1,040,351 people around the globe. It would not have been possible to achieve this milestone and reach so many people in need without the support of hunger champions like you, so we wanted to take a moment to share the exciting results of our work together to end hunger last year.
We engaged 367,211 volunteers in countries around the globe to package a record 64,182,643 meals for people in need.

Along with our meals, we distributed $17.6 million in donated aid including medical supplies, clothing, soap and more.
In times of greatest need, we supplied more than $1.4 million in crisis relief aid to victims of disasters, including nutritious meals and water filters, in the wake of Hurricane Matthew, drought in Mozambique, flooding in the Dominican Republic and famine in South Sudan.

These numbers are exciting, and we are grateful that we have been able to reach so many people over the course of 2016.
